Your House In Stitches
How great would it be to see a photograph of your house come to life with fabric and stitches. With Picture Stitches you can and it's so easy too. Just send me a photograph of the front of your house and leave the rest to me. The photos below show my process. Once the pictures have been completed they are mounted in a white mat ready to fit a 25 x 20cms (10" x 8") Frame. If you wish to have the picture framed we can discuss styles and this will be an extra cost.
To begin I draw a sketch to size which I can use to cut my fabric pieces ready for placement.
Then once the fabrics have been chosen they are carefully hand cut to size and placed onto a double piece backing. The piece is then ready to sew
Once the machine has been set up and ready to go I then begin to sew the fabric pieces onto the picture using different stiches for texture and interest. Then Hey Presto it's done.
The picture below was a special commission which was A3 in size. This house is lovely and all the flowers are hand stitched. The picture then spills onto the mount, giving it the wavy finish.
