wHITBY aBBEY

Whitby Abbey is a mighty structure upon the East Cliff of Whitby.

The Ruins there now are from the 11th Century, just after the Norman conquest.

They look so dramatic in the evening sky when looking towards the North sea. Bram Stoker used these ruins and the town of Whitby as inspiration to his book 'Dracula'

My inspiration came from the author Becky Wright who recently released 'Mr Stoker & I' . Having seen some lovely pictures Becky had used to promote her book I sought permission to use one as my inspiration for the dramatic sunset that you see.
