Freemotion Machine Embroidery

Freemotion Embroidery is accomplished by setting up a sewing machine with the feed dog down and stitch lengths and widths set for the stitches you want to do. Once the machine is set up the fabric you want to embroider is then put into a hoop and placed under the needle. It is then your hands that guide the fabric around hence the name Freemotion

Machine Embroidery is a different style altogether. The machine is set up with special hoops and is a computerised machine which holds many embroidery designs within its memory. Other designs can be purchased and using a USB can be done by the machine. Once set up for machine embroidery you then decide on thread colours and away you go. The machine automatically stitches the design and you need to change thread colours at the correct time.
